A representative there declined to comment on who was sponsoring the fireworks or why.<\/p>\n<p>Aspen Skiing Co. spokesman Jeff Hanle also declined to provide details on who was sponsoring the event, but he said the fireworks are tied to a group that brought many people from out of town to be here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve asked not to be identified,\u201d he said. \u201c &#8230; Go out and enjoy a bonus fireworks show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The festivities kick off at 7 p.m. with a torchlight descent, where skiers from the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club carrying open flames will ride in unison down the Little Nell run. At 7:10 p.m., a five-minute \u201cpyrotechnic ground display\u201d \u2014 the nature of which will be a surprise \u2014 will take place on Little Nell.
