I also have some pictures from the Artist. I think we should probably have him write something up about his experience. That can be a separate post. I don’t think he sold much, but he got to learn a lot about the industry.
Last week was the 2019 March 4-10th National Fireworks Association (NFA) Spring Showcase in Columbus, Georgia. It was the first year of the Spring Showcase and it was a successful event. At the two days trade show event we were able to meet with our old customers and with new customers. There were 100’s of attendees. We had samples of some of our 2019 products for everyone to see along with our always popular give away items. There was also three nights of demos from different wholesalers and manufactures.
The Spring Showcase was a good time of the year to meet with our customers to begin making plans for the 2020 season. Production of those items is beginning now and will continue throughout the summer. Most people are focusing on the upcoming 2019 season, but it is important to begin planning for 2020. Instead of ordering 8-10 months before the 4th of July, the industry is changing, and it is best to be planning 18+ months ahead of when you need your delivery.
We had our demo on Saturday night where we showcased new 2019 items, top selling items in years past, some of our Pro Line items and we also gave a sneak peak of a few of our 2020 new items. We had great weather for the demo, and it was a successful evening. We got a lot of great feedback after the demo. Our Facebook page live streamed the demo. Kyle Selley is an ambitious young artist who has worked in fireworks for several years and has a high reputation in the art world in other countries. Kyle has held a very successful demo in Kansas City and will present his artwork with another turn of flavor at this year’s NFA fireworks show. Kyle’s wish is to eventually host a large-scale fireworks show. This time, Dominator (Dunpai fireworks) will help Kyle’s plan, which will help to share the concept of “high art” of Chinese and Western fireworks, and “Liuyang fireworks ring all over the world” – in the future, our fireworks culture will be more respected and recognized.
