There’s a museum for fireworks in Dayao County, Liuyang City—China Fireworks Museum, which was built on the site of Pavilion of Litian( the forefather of fireworks). It has the architectural style of Tang Dynasty, with beautiful pattern on the ceiling and pillars. The original pavilion gate is still in use.
It’s the first Village-invested Museum in China,and got the First places of Fireworks Museum in China. It preserves more than 100 pieces of tools and meterial in Ming and Qing Dynasty, recording more than 1400 years history of fireworks development. There are also more than 200 pictures covering the different period of fireworks.
Also, A movie about the forefather of fireworks Legend of Litian will be release in 2019. The movie introduced how the fireworks was founded and its usage. Anyone who is interested the origin of the fireworks can try to find way to watch. Here’s the movie trailer.
